What other opportunities are there to volunteer with CACS?
- Primarily, it is really great if you take part in our community!
Coming to potlucks, workdays, and events that interest you provides an opportunity to spend time with your neighbors and strengthen our community.
- Sharing your knowledge or skills is an incredibly beneficial small one time volunteer commitment.
Could you teach a small group how to balance their budget? What about using your yoga certification to teach a class? Love knitting? - teach a group how! Teaching your neighbors to learn or strengthen a new skill can be very fun and rewarding for everyone involved!
- If you would like to be more consistently and independently involved over the season; we recommend focusing on special projects.
Special projects includes any kind of vision you may have for the space, which you feel that you can imagine, organize, and implement independently or with the help of interested members of the community. This might include things like building a mini library or a picnic table, organizing an art or music instillation, or tilling and planting a new area for flowers.
- You could also be a part of our support team. Currently we are looking for people to volunteer with
newsletter writing, fundraising, grant proposals, website maintenance, event planning, and local school outreach.
